Taylor Swift will receive the Global Icon Award at this year's Brit Awards ceremony on Tuesday.

The multi-million selling international superstar and songwriter is being awarded in recognition of her immense impact on music across the world and her incredible repertoire and achievements to date, BRITS said.

Swift will be the first female artist to be presented with the BRITs Global Icon award, the highest accolade given by the British Phonographic Industry.

According to the Official Charts Company, Taylor is the U.K.'s biggest selling artist of the year to date in 2021.

Swift is an eleven-time Grammy award winner and the first ever female artist to win the Grammy for Album of the Year three times. She has sold over 114 million albums worldwide with total global audio and video streams reaching 78 billion.

The BRIT Awards will take place Tuesday, May 11, and will air at 8 pm BST | 3 pm EDT | 12 pm PDT on ITV, ITV Hub and

Country star Thomas Rhett's wife Lauren Akins is expecting the couple's fourth child.

Over the weekend, Rhett and his wife announced the happy news in separate Instagram posts.

"Well... we are pregnant again!" the 31-year-old country singer wrote alongside a photo of the couple smiling together at his concert in Texas on Saturday.

"Tonight when I was on stage in Fort Worth about to play 'to the guys that date my girls' my wife talked to me in my (ear monitors) and said 'you can tell them if you want' so anyways, now you know. We are pumped to be having our 4th girl," he added.

Announcing the "surprise" news on Instagram, Akins wrote, "He just couldn't wait any longer, so @thomasrhettakins told our newest little secret onstage at @billybobstexas in Ft. Worth (my mama's hometown) just in time for Mother's Day."

"Akins family expanding in November 2021 with our FOURTH baby girl," she added, with the post including a photo of Rhett and Akins holding her baby bump.

Rhett and Akins, married in 2012, are parents to daughters Lennon Love, Ada James and Willa Gray.

The nominees for Best Music Documentary at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards feature a star-studded list of choices.

Taylor Swift's Miss Americana; Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry; Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil; Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You; Shawn Mendes: In Wonder; Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, about late rap legend The Notorious B.I.G.; Tina Turner's Tina, The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart; BTS tour documentary Break the Silence: The Movie, and The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears, are the docu-films nominated in the Best Music Documentary category.

Fan voting for best music documentary will open on MTV's Instagram Stories on May 10 and close the next day.

The winner will be announced during the MTV Movie & TV Awards ceremony, to be held on May 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT at the Palladium in Los Angeles.
